Richard Matheson (1926-2013) is the author of numerous novels and short stories. He wrote in various genres, including fantasy, horror, paranormal, suspense, science fiction, and westerns. In addition to books, he wrote for television (including...). The Twilight Zone and Star Trek) and screenplays for several films. Many of his novels and short stories have been adapted for film, including I Am a Legend, Return of bid time and The Wrinkled ManAmong the awards he has received are the Fantasy Prize and the Bram Stoker Prize, both for the body of work, the Hugo Awardthe Edgar Awardthe Spurs Award for Best Western Romance and awards of Writers' GuildIn 2010, it was included in Science Fiction Hall of Fame.
