Ricardo Alcántara

(Montevidéu, Uruguai 1946) Estudou Psicologia em São Paulo mas, em 1975, mudou-se para Barcelona, onde reside, tendo-se desde então dedicado à literatura. Publicou mais de uma centena de livros, entre novelas – algumas delas traduzidas para várias línguas – e obras para o público infantil e juvenil. Recebeu os prémios Austral Infantil 1987, Lazarillo 1987 e Apel·les Mestres em 1990. A sua produção literária figura na Lista de Honor do Banco del Libro da Venezuela e The White Ravens.
