Raquel Sem Interesse

Raquel da Silva Fernandes, or Raquel Sem Interesse (Raquel Without Interest), as she calls herself, was born in 1989 in Porto, where she resides. She graduated in Multimedia Visual Arts from FBAUP in 2012 and holds a master's degree in Illustration and Animation from IPCA, where she discovered her passion for cartooning. Her love for drawing and creating characters (puppets, as she likes to call them) culminated in this style, which she combined with... comicstrip in their need to tell stories. And it was here that the project emerged. "Uninteresting Stories", which began as an assignment for an Illustration course, evolved into a final master's thesis project. Quica, the author's alter ego, stars in the illustrated stories, always in a comical way, reaching the public through social media, independent illustration fairs, and a collaboration with the digital platform of Porto MailDuring the period of 2016 and 2018, with the publication of bi-weekly strips. And before you ask, no, Raquel is not married, nor does she have children. And neither does Quica. Stop it.
