Philippe Girard

Philippe Girard é um argumentista, escritor e desenhador de BD nascido no Quebec em 1971.
Durante os seus estudos, desenhou em vários jornais estudantis antes de lançar a fanzine Tabasko! com Djief e Leif Tande. Formado em Comunicação Gráfica pela Universidade Laval em 1993, fez um estágio de aperfeiçoamento em Bruxelas em 1997, seguido de uma residência de escrita em Bordéus em 2010, bem como em Cracóvia em 2019 e Liège em 2022.
Os seus livros exploram os temas da identidade e da morte, nomeadamente com Tuer Vélasquez (Glénat Québec), Leonard Cohen Sur un fil (Casterman) e Supercanon! Le marchand d'armes qui visait les étoiles (Casterman). Recentemente, o seu álbum Danger public (com Leif Tande) foi adaptado para o cinema por Alexis Chartrand. A sua obra foi galardoada com vários prémios no Canadá, no Quebec, no Japão e na Europa.
