Writer and screenwriter Philippe Claudel was born in Nancy, France, in 1962, and made his directorial debut in 2008 with *Il ya longtemps que je t’aime*. His extensive body of work has also been distinguished with numerous awards and translated into approximately thirty languages. Among other notable works... The Sound of Keys, Gray Souls, winner of the Renadout Prize in 2003 and adapted for film, and The Granddaughter of Mr. Linh, which is being adapted for the cinema.
