Peter Temple

Nascido na África do Sul, Peter Temple é um dos mais aclamados escritores da Austrália. Exerceu funções de jornalista, editor de revistas, e professor. É o autor de oito romances, quatro dos quais foram contemplados com o Prémio Ned Kelly para ficção policial. Bad Debts e Black Tide são os títulos introdutórios à sua célebre série com o detective Jack Irish.
Abismo de Sangue recebeu inúmeros prémios, entre eles: o Duncan Lawrie Dagger 2007 para o melhor romance policial do ano; o Australian General Fiction Book of the Year, 2006, o Australian Book Industry Award e o Colin Roderick Award 2006. Foi ainda finalista do Miles Literary Award em 2006.
