Peter J. Hotez é reitor da Escola Nacional de Medicina Tropical e professor de pediatria e virologia molecular e microbiologia no Baylor College of Medicine, onde também é codiretor do Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development. É membro eleito da Academia Nacional de Medicina dos EUA e, em 2022, foi nomeado para o Prémio Nobel da Paz pelo seu trabalho sobre a vacina contra a covid-19. Vive em Houston, Texas.
