Pero Vaz de Caminha

Pêro Vaz de Caminha nasceu em meados do século XV, presumivelmente no Porto, e terá morrido em combate em Calecut, na Índia, em 1500. Ocupou posições de relevo na cidade onde nasceu, tendo participado na Batalha de Toro. Foi Mestre da Balança da Casa da Moeda do Porto e participou nas sessões da Câmara onde foi incumbido de redigir os capítulos a serem apresentados à Corte.
