Pedro Vaz licenciou-se em Arquitetura em 1994, é mestre em Habitação desde 2002 e doutorou-se em Conservação e Restauro em 2016 na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa. Foi condecorado OIH ((2006) e GIH (2016) e recebeu inúmeros prémios pela sua atividade. Ingressa em 1996 na Direção Geral de Edifícios e Monumentos Nacionais (DGEMN) e, em 2006, no quadro da Secretaria-Geral da Presidência da República, sendo responsável pelos projetos de conservação e reabilitação do património edificado da Presidência. Desenvolve atualmente um projeto europeu financiado pelo programa Erasmus+ na área da Conservação do Património.
