Pedro Paixão nasceu em Lisboa num frio mês de fevereiro de 1956.
Ocupou o melhor do seu tempo aprendendo e perseguindo as coisas belas. Aos dezanove anos foi diagnosticado com psicose maníaco-depressiva.
Estudou na Universidade Católica de Lovaina e na Universidade de Heidelberga, tendo-se doutorado aos 29 anos. Tentou ensinar durante uma vintena de anos e depois desistiu.
Publicou três dezenas de livros e dois álbuns de fotografia. Escreveu textos para ópera e teatro. Durante o inverno gosta de nadar no mar com o Radar. O que mais gostaria de ter sido: músico. É casado. Tem um filho e dois netos. Vive em Santo António do Estoril.
