Pedro Lamet nasceu em Cádiz, em 1941. Este jesuíta espanhol publicou obras de diversos géneros, nomeadamente poesia, novela, biografia, história, ensaio, jornalismo, crítica cinematográfica e teologia. Além de director do semanário Vida Nueva, foi professor nas Universidades de Deusto e Valladolid e colaborador habitual de vários meios de comunicação social. Obteve diversos prémios literários e jornalísticos.
