Pedro Gomes

Manuel Pedro Gomes nasceu em Parceiros de São João a 16 de Outubro de 1941. É casado, tem dois filhos, vive em Lisboa. Jogou no Sporting Clube de Portugal durante 17 anos, onde iniciou e terminou a sua carreira. Internacional por diversas vezes, ganhou vários títulos: 3 Taças de Portugal; 3 Campeonatos Nacionais; 1 prova Europeia, a "Taça das Taças". Aliás, o Sporting foi a única equipa portuguesa a ganhar este troféu. Fez parte da mítica Seleção Nacional, no Mundial de 1966, que ficou em 3o lugar.
Treinou a Académica, Oriental, Farense, Marítimo, U. de Leiria, Belenenses, Rio-Ave e Sporting Clube de Portugal, entre outros. Na sua carreira de jogador e de treinador recebeu vários prémios e distinções: Medalha de Ouro ao Mérito da FPF; Medalha de ouro da UEFA; Medalha de Prata da Cidade de Lisboa; Prémio Stromp; Comendador Desportivo e foi considerado o Melhor Treinador na época 81/82.
