Pedro Gomes Barbosa

Pedro Gomes Barbosa was born in São Vicente, Cape Verde, in 1951. He was a student at the Camões High School, entered the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon to study History, and was subsequently hired as an Assistant. He obtained his Doctorate and Habilitation there. He has published more than 170 titles, including books and scientific articles. He has participated in numerous congresses and conferences. He is a member of the Naval Academy, the Portuguese Academy of History, the Lisbon Geographical Society, and the EuroDefense Portugal Association. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Republic's Information Service, a member of the Luso-Arab Institute for Cooperation until its dissolution, and a member of the Battle of Aljubarrota Foundation.
