Atualmente é Investigador FCT no Instituto de Patologia e Imunologia Molecular da Universidade do Porto (Ipatimup) e Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto (i3s). Os seus interesses de investigação incluem as áreas da genómica das populações humanas e da genómica de cancro bem como a aprendizagem automática e análise de dados de grande escala e dimensão.
