Pedro Canais nasceu em Torres Novas em 1962. Completou o ensino secundário no Brasil e frequentou o curso de Economia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Regressou a Portugal e entrou no curso de História da Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa. Foi criativo em várias agências de publicidade. Trabalha actualmente na SIC, como copywriter de televisão. "A Lenda de Martim Regos" é o primeiro romance que publica.
