Paulo Teixeira

Paulo Teixeira was born in Mozambique in 1962. He compiled his poetic works, published from 1985 onwards, in the volume... The Last Roman Poet, which includes the unpublished book Calepino (2020). He also published, in that year, The World's Commotion, written with a literary creation grant awarded by DGLAB/Ministry of Culture. His latest foray into this field is titled The Wedding of the Times (2024).
He was a member, by testamentary nomination of the poet himself, of the Luís Miguel Nava Foundation, of the jury for the Poetry Prize awarded by it, and served as co-director of the magazine. Lightning.
He was a guest writer for the D.A.A.D. (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) for a one-year stay in Berlin. He undertook literary residencies in Maison des Écrivains Étrangers et des Traducteurs de Saint-Nazaire, in France, and at the Sacatar Foundation in Brazil, the country where she lived for the last decade.
