Paulo Tavares

Paulo Tavares nasceu em 1977. Foi professor de Português e Inglês. É tradutor na área da ficção (Daniel Defoe, Jonathan Swift, A. S. Byatt, Ray Bradbury, Viet Thanh Nguyen) e tem traduzido também obras de economia, política, história, neurociência, cultura e antropologia (Joseph Stiglitz, Jeremy Rifkin, Barry Strauss, Anne Applebaum, Miguel Nicolelis, Frank Dikötter, David Graeber, David Wengrow, Louis Menand). Cofundou a Artefacto, da qual é editor, e o Reverso – Encontro de autores, artistas e editores independentes. Foi diretor artístico e presidente da Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul. Encenou as peças de teatro Uma Rua em St. Louis e Desmaterialização. Antes de Órbitas, publicou quatro livros de poesia: Pêndulo, Minimal Existencial, Linhas de Hartmann e Capitais.
