Historiador de Arte, Paulo Pereira é licenciado em História pela Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa (UCL) e Mestre em História de Arte pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa. É autor de diversas obras relativas à história da arte portuguesa, entre as quais A Obra Silvestre e a Esfera do Rei, galardoada com o prémio D. João de Castro 1991. Foi Chefe da Divisão de Museus da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa e Vice-Presidente do Instituto Português do Património Arquitectónico entre 1995 e 2003. É actualmente professor da Faculdade de
