Paulo Faria nasceu em 1967, em Lisboa. Licenciou-se em Biologia por mero acidente. É tradutor literário, tendo traduzido obras de autores como Orwell, Kerouac, Joyce, Don DeLillo e Cormac McCarthy. Viajou em busca das nascentes de algumas das obras que traduziu, o que o levou ao Tennessee, ao Texas, ao Novo México. Venceu, em 2015, o Grande Prémio de Tradução APT/SPA. Publicou Estranha Guerra de Uso Comum (Ítaca, romance, 2016), Gente Acenando para Alguém que Foge (Minotauro, romance, 2019) e crónicas nas páginas da revista Ler e do jornal Público.
