Paula Gândara

Paula Gândara holds a PhD in Lusophone African Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA, and is the author of a vast and diverse body of literary work (essays, poetry, and short stories), published in Brazil, Portugal, and the United States, among which stands out... Language Hours (poetry), her most recent book. A professor of Lusophone Studies at the University of Miami since 2003, she has dedicated her research to the analysis of African literatures in Portuguese. Hence the essay Building Germano Almeida - The Consciousness of Deconstruction, the result of his doctoral thesis.
