Paul Webster

Paul Webster (1937–2004), jornalista conceituado, foi, durante mais de 30 anos, o correspondente do jornal The Guardian em Paris.
Embora fosse um jornalista talentoso e altamente reconhecido, ele era muito mais do que isso. Por detrás de uma grande modéstia, a sua capacidade de desbravar novos caminhos, na última década da sua vida, fez dele um autor de grande reputação, por trazer a lume uma nova e importante visão sobre os conturbados tempos da guerra em França, país que o acolheu desde 1974.
Autor de várias biografias de personalidades de renome — como é o caso de Mitterrand, L'autre histoire —, foi a biografia do autor de O Principezinho que lhe valeu a projeção internacional ao ser traduzida e publicada em diversas línguas.
