Paul de Grauwe é John Paulson Chair em European Political Economy, da London School of Economics. De nacionalidade belga, foi membro do Parlamento do seu país entre 1991 e 2003. Foi membro do Grupo de Análise da Política Económica, órgão de aconselhamento do Presidente Durão Barroso. É investigador do Centre for European Policy Studies em Bruxelas e do Centre for Economic Policy Research em Londres. As suas áreas de investigação incidem sobre as relações monetárias internacionais e a integração monetária. É vice-presidente do Conselho de Finanças Públicas, em Portugal.
