Patrícia Portela (1974). É autora de espetáculos, instalações e obras literárias. Tem um mestrado em cenografia e outro em filosofia; estudou dramaturgia, dança e cinema, em Lisboa, Utrecht, Londres, Helsínquia, Ebeltoft e Leuven. Cresceu em Macau, viveu duas décadas em Antuérpia e habitou brevemente em Paris e Poznan mas por razões meramente pessoais. Atualmente vive em Paço de Arcos. Itinera com regularidade pela Europa e pelo mundo e é reconhecida nacional e internacionalmente «pela peculiaridade da sua obra», com a qual recebeu vários prémios. É autora de romances e novelas como O Banquete (2012, finalista do Grande Prémio de Romance e novela APE) ou Hífen (finalista do Prémio Correntes d'Escritas, Prémio Ciranda em 2022 e escrito com uma bolsa DGLAB). É cronista regular do Jornal de Letras, Artes e Ideias desde 2017 e foi cronista na rádio Antena 1 em «O Fio da Meada» por 6 meses (2019-2020). Os seus textos foram reunidos e publicados no livro Crónicas Fora de Jogo em 2022. Durante a pandemia foi diretora artística do Teatro Viriato em Viseu, que nunca fechou as suas portas (2020-2022), e da Rua das Gaivotas 6, em Lisboa (2023–2024).
