Patrícia Carvalho nasceu no Porto em 1975. Licenciou-se em Ciências da Comunicação na Universidade Nova de Lisboa e foi como estagiária do Jornal de Letras que entrou no jornalismo. No final do estágio quis regressar a casa e desde então trabalhou em vários jornais e revistas como O Comércio do Porto , A Grande reportagem ou a Sábado. Desde 2008 trabalha no jornal Público.

Depois de Portugueses nos Campos de Concentração Nazis (Vogais), regressa agora com um novo título nascido de uma profunda investigação – atividade que a apaixona verdadeiramente.
