Parinoush Saniee é socióloga e psicóloga. Trabalhou para o governo iraniano, no Ministério do Trabalho. Escreveu vários romances, dos quais O Livro do Destino é o primeiro; The Father of the Other One é o segundo, também publicado no Irão (e vendido à Noruega, Roménia e Itália); os outros aguardam a aprovação da censura iraniana para serem publicados.
