Paolo Benanti (n. 1973, Roma), sacerdote franciscano e bioeticista, doutorado em Teologia Moral pela Universidade Gregoriana, onde leciona (assim como na LUISS), tem-se especializado nos desafios éticos colocados pelos avanços tecnológicos, da robótica à inteligência artificial. Enquanto especialista nestas matérias, tem colaborado repetidamente com o governo italiano. É também o principal assessor do Vaticano em ética tecnológica. A riqueza da sua reflexão fez com que fosse escolhido para integrar o Painel Científico Internacional Independente das Nações Unidas sobre IA. Foi também galardoado com o Prémio Comunicação e Cultura Paulinas 2024, por ocasião do 58.º Dia Mundial das Comunicações Sociais.
