Paco Roca, nasceu em Valencia, em 1969, estudou Belas-Artes e trabalhou em publicidade, antes de abrir o seu próprio estúdio de ilustração. É considerado um dos maiores ilustradores, cartoonistas e guionistas espanhol, os seus trabalhos são largamente premiados, entre eles contam-se: A Casa; O Inverno do Desenhador; O Tesouro do Cisne Negro; Os Trilhos do Acaso (obra em 2 volumes); Andanças e Confissões de um Homem em Pijama; O Farol/O Jogo Lúgubre; Memórias de um Homem em Pijama. Rugas foi adaptado ao cinema em 2012, e o filme foi galardoado com 2 prémios Goya.
