Olivier Guez was born in Strasbourg on June 15, 1974. He is a French journalist, essayist, and writer. He won the Prize... Renaudot 2017 for his novel The Disappearance of Josef Mengele.
He studied at Sciences Po Strasbourgin London School of EconomicsHe worked as a journalist. freelance for the The New York Times newspaper, Le Monde, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Le Figaro Magazine, L'Express, Le Point, International Politics, Der Freitag, Der Tages Anzeiger, Das Magazin and Il Foglio.
