Olivier Guez nasceu em Estrasburgo em 15 de junho de 1974, jornalista, ensaísta e escritor francês. Ganhou o Prémio Renaudot 2017 pelo seu romance O Desaparecimento de Josef Mengele.
Estudou na Sciences Po Strasbourg, na London School of Economics. Trabalhou como jornalista freelance para o The New York Times, Le Monde, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Le Figar Magazine, L'Express, Le Point, Politique Internationale, Der Freitag, Der Tages Anzeiger, Das Magazin e Il Foglio.
