Nuno Lobo Antunes formou-se na Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa. Iniciou a carreira como pediatra no Hospital de Santa Maria, cuja Unidade de Neuropediatria viria a coordenar. Trabalhou cerca de dez anos em Nova Iorque (Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases e Presbyterian Hospital, entre outros) e foi professor auxiliar de Neurologia e Pediatria na Universidade de Cornell. Diretor Clínico do CADIn ao longo de vários anos, fundou em 2012 o PIN, um centro para as perturbações do desenvolvimento.
Escrito em coautoria com a equipa do PIN, Sentidos resulta de anos de experiência assentes num pensamento livre.
