Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was one of the most brilliant minds of all time. He was a brilliant polymath, inventor, and mechanical and electrical engineer, and one of the most important names in the creation of commercial electricity. His patents... Tesla His theoretical work formed the basis of modern electrical power systems, which he helped guide in what has been called the Second Industrial Revolution.
Of Serbian ethnicity, born in the village of Smiljan (at the time, part of Austria-Hungary), now Croatian territory, Nikola Tesla later became an American citizen. After demonstrating wireless communication (radio) in 1894 and winning the "War of the Currents" by defeating Edison, he was widely recognized as one of the greatest electrical engineers working in the United States of America.
His fame rivaled that of any other inventor or scientist, but due to his personality and some extravagant claims about scientific and technological development, he was ostracized and ended up being considered eccentric.
Tesla was never able to fit into the world he lived in. He died alone and poor, estranged from most of his friends, in his two-bedroom suite in New York City.
