Nelson Henriques é licenciado em Arte e Design, variante Design Projetação pela Universidade da Madeira.Tem formação acrescida na área de Técnico de Multimédia. É designer gráfico de profissão e ilustrador. Com diversos livros publicados, colaborou com diversos autores e autoras, dos quais se destaca Graça Alves e Maria Aurora Carvalho Homem. É também autor da ilustração de uma das peças da coleção.
