Nancy Fraser

Nancy Fraser (Baltimore, 1947) is a professor of Philosophy and Political and Social Science at New School of Social ResearchShe is based in New York and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. A renowned activist and researcher for her work on the concepts of redistribution and recognition in justice theory, her voice is especially relevant today for focusing on divisions within the progressive struggle and for highlighting the relationship between capitalism and the ecological crisis, feminist movements, and the rise of right-wing populism.
