Nanako Hanada nascida em1979, é livreira em Tóquio. O seu primeiro livro, Confissões de Uma Livreira, tornou-se um inesperado e inspirador bestseller e livro de culto japonês que vendeu 80 mil exemplares, tendo sido igualmente adaptado para uma série de televisão. Os direitos autorais permitiram a Nanako abrir a sua própria livraria, Kani Books, em Tóquio.
