Monika Fagerholm

Monika Fagerholm nasceu em 1961 na Finlândia e faz parte da comunidade finlandesa que fala sueco. Estudou Psicologia e Literatura na Universidade de Helsínquia, e estreou-se em 1987 com o conto «Sham». Sete anos depois teve a sua revelação com o romance Underbara kvinnor vid vatten, seguido por vários outros romances relevantes. Diva foi publicado em 1998 e Den amerikanska flickan em 2005, tendo recebido o August Prize pelo mesmo. Foi igualmente galardoada com o Runeberg Award (1995), o August Prize (2005), Swedish Academy Nordic Prize (2016) e o Selma Lagerlöf Prize (2020), entre outros. Quem Matou Bambi? é o seu sétimo romance que venceu o Tollander Award e o Nordic Council Literature Prize; e foi finalista do Finlandia Award. Monika Fagerholm é considerada uma das melhores autoras literárias escandinavas.
