Mo Willems é um autor e ilustrador que já ganhou três menções honrosas do Caldecott Award, o mais importante prémio de literatura infantil nos EUA.
Começou a sua carreira na Rua Sésamo, onde ganhou seis prémios Emmy como argumentista.
Conta com mais de 50 livros editados, e escreveu argumentos para mais de 15 animações de televisão. Muitas das suas ilustrações já foram exibidas em diversas galerias e museus espalhados pelos EUA. Vive com a família, e o Pombo, no estado do Massachusetts, nos EUA.
