Misha Glenny is a renowned journalist and historian. As a correspondent for Central Europe for the The guardian and for the BBCHe covered the collapse of Communism and the wars in the former Yugoslavia. He won several important awards, such as the Sony Gold Award, for his outstanding contribution to the media. Author of three books on Eastern Europe and the Balkans, he is a regular political consultant to the US government and some European countries, and headed an NGO for three years, helping with the reconstruction of Serbia, Macedonia, and Kosovo. He currently lives in London.
