Mikhail Shishkin

Mikhail Shishkin é um dos autores russos mais prestigiados da atualidade. Nasceu em Moscovo em 1961, estudou linguística e deu aulas de alemão. Vive na Suíça. Os seus romances Die Eroberung von Ismail, Venushaar e Cartas de Amor e de Guerra foram distinguidos com vários prémios nacionais e internacionais, incluindo os três prémios literários mais importantes da Rússia. Em 2011 foi-lhe atribuído o Prémio Internacional de Literatura Casa das Culturas do Mundo, em Berlim. Os seus livros estão traduzidos em trinta e cinco línguas. É, há anos, um crítico do regime de Putin.
