Mikaela Övén

Mikaela Övén, or Mia, is Swedish and has lived in Portugal since 2001. She is the mother of three children. She studied Behavioural Sciences at Lund University (Sweden) and graduated in Human Resources, with a specialization in Skills Development, from the University of Malmö (Sweden). She is a certified facilitator by Family Lab (Sweden), a certified Mindfulness instructor since 2012, an NLP practitioner and a certified coach .
She considers herself an eternal student, having received, among others, training in the Neurobiology of Love (by Dr. Stephen Porges and Dr. Sue Carter), Family Communications and Nonviolent Communication. She founded the Academy of Conscious Parenting and is the author of the books Educating with Mindfulness, Educating with Mindfulness in Adolescence, Heartfulness, Happy Family Notebook, Inspiration for a Magical Life, and The Mother Is Burning. Recently, in co-authorship with Pedro Vieira, he published a collection dedicated to children and parents: You are brilliant!, I love you just as you are!, You make a difference, Believe, you can!, and also the work The future is you.
She is co-host of the first personal development podcast in Portugal, Inspiration for a Magical Life, and The Conscious Parenting Podcast. She has had rubrics on conscious parenting and Mindfulness on M80 radio, Porto Canal and SIC.
She seeks to support individuals and families in the search for harmony and balance through her books, daily shares on social networks, in the media and in the lectures and certifications she promotes.
