Mikael Krogerus, nascido em 1976 em Estocolmo, é um cidadão finlandês que cresceu na Suécia e na Alemanha. Estudou política na Freie Universität, em Berlim, e finalizou a sua educação em 2003, na Escola Kaospilot, na Dinamarca. A seguir trabalhou no programa de televisão juvenil Chat the Planet, em Nova Iorque, e a partir de 2005 tornou-se editor do NZZ Folio, a revista do Neue Züricher Zeitung. Desde 2009 trabalha como jornalista freelancer para Der Freitag, Brand Eins e o NZZ, entre outros.
