Miguel Ribeiro Pedras nasceu a 11 de maio de 1989 nas Caldas da Rainha. É licenciado em História pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e mestre em Jornalismo pelo Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, com a dissertação de mestrado intitulada «A Viagem do Príncipe: o périplo de D. Luís Filipe em África visto através da imprensa». Trabalhou como jornalista e também como investigador de História, sendo investigador integrado do Instituto de História Contemporânea da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. É atualmente professor de História.
