Miguel Piçarra, de nome inteiro Miguel Simões Piçarra, nasceu a 23 de julho de 1957, no Fundão. Homem de vários ofícios (mandarete, ascensorista, bagageiro, rececionista), cedo começou a enfrentar a labuta do dia-a-dia. Desde 1972 que, como empregado, desenvolveu diversas tarefas, no comércio, na indústria hoteleira e na função pública. O seu gosto pela escrita, desde a adolescência, levou-o a transmitir ao suporte físico o que lhe povoava a mente e assim surgiram vários textos, principalmente na forma de poesia. Agora, depois de uma vida inteira a escrever, resolveu que o mundo precisava de conhecer a sua obra.
