Miguel Maria Brito é arquiteto paisagista, licenciado e mestre pelo Instituto Superior de Agronomia da Universidade de Lisboa, tendo estudado também no Instituto de Arquitetura Paisagista e Planeamento Ambiental da Universidade Técnica de Berlim. Tem vindo a estudar a circunstância dos "espaços em aberto" da cidade de Lisboa e a sua oportunidade para a prática de horticultura urbana. Trabalhou em vários gabinetes de projeto e planeamento, e recentemente tem desempenhado funções nas áreas do design, da implementação e da formação em hortas urbanas, comunitárias e pedagógicas (em escolas).
