Miguel Costa Matos é mestre em Economia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e licenciado em Filosofia, Política e Economia pela Universidade de Warwick. Secretário-geral da Juventude Socialista, é deputado da Assembleia da República. Foi adjunto económico do Gabinete do Primeiro-Ministro António Costa entre 2017 e 2019, tendo ainda trabalhado no setor privado, no Gabinete de Estratégia e Estudos do Ministério da Economia e no Gabinete de Planeamento, Estratégia, Avaliação e Relações Internacionais do Ministério das Finanças. Nos tempos livres, aprecia poesia, gosta de desfrutar de uma boa refeição e de passear o cão, Darcy.
