Miguel Bandeira Jerónimo é professor associado em História na Universidade de Coimbra. Os seus interesses de pesquisa centram-se na história global e comparada do imperialismo e do colonialismo (séculos XVIII-XX). Tem publicado com regularidade, em Portugal e no estrangeiro, em editoras e revistas de referência. Recentemente, publicou, em coautoria, História(s) do Presente (Tinta-da-china/Público, 2020) e coeditou Internationalism, Imperialism and the Formation of the Contemporary World (Palgrave, 2017), Os Impérios do Internacional (Almedina, 2020) e Visões do Império (Tinta-da-china, 2021). Coordena o projeto internacional «The worlds of (under) development: processes and legacies of the Portuguese colonial empire in a comparative perspective (1945-1975)».
