Miguel Almeida, s.j. nasceu em 1967, em Lisboa. Entrou na Companhia de Jesus em 1995 e foi ordenado sacerdote em 2003. Estudou Filosofia na Universidade Católica e Teologia em Roma (Universidade Gregoriana) e em Boston (WJST), onde fez o Mestrado na área da ética sexual e da família. Nos últimos anos tem aprofundado esta área de reflexão, tendo voltado recentemente a Boston para aprofundar os estudos nesta matéria. Tem colaborado frequentemente com as equipas diocesanas e nacional da pastoral familiar. Atualmente, é o Provincial dos Jesuítas em Portugal.
