Michel Rio

Michel Rio, francês, nasceu na Bretanha em 1945.
Após a conclusão dos estudos na área da Semiótica e de algumas publicações académicas, maioritariamente relacionadas com a banda desenhada, publica, em 1982, o seu primeiro romance, Mélancolie Nord, com o qual se consagra imediatamente, sendo-lhe atribuído o Prix du Roman de la Société des Gens de Lettres, feito que repete com o romance Le Perchoir du Perroquet, de 1983.
Laureado com inúmeros prémios literários, de entre os quais se destaca o Prix Médicis, Michel Rio é um dos nomes mais importantes das letras francesas, com uma extensa obra, do romance ao teatro e cinema, já tornada em objeto de estudo.
