O Dr. Michael Greger é médico, autor e conferencista, internacionalmente reconhecido em questões relacionadas com a nutrição, segurança alimentar e saúde pública. É um dos fundadores, e atualmente membro, do American College for Lifestyle Medicine. Foi palestrante convidado na Conference on World Affairs, prestou depoimento perante o Congresso dos EUA na qualidade de perito e foi ainda testemunha de defesa de Oprah Winfrey num famoso caso judicial.
Concluiu duas licenciaturas, uma na Universidade de Cornell e outra na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Tufts. Atualmente é diretor do Departamento de Saúde Pública e Agropecuária da Humane Society dos Estados Unidos.
Centenas dos seus vídeos sobre nutrição estão disponíveis gratuitamente no site NutritionFacts.org, que é atualizado todos os dias. E todos os royalties que recebe pela venda dos seus livros são doados a instituições sem fins lucrativos.
