Michael Ende

Michael Ende (1929-1995) was born in Bavaria, Germany, the son of the surrealist painter Edgar Ende. He studied at the Munich School of Drama and worked as an actor for several years. Later, he abandoned the theater to dedicate himself to literature. His work includes several children's and young adult books, including... bestsellers international, Momo and The NeverEnding Story, which was adapted into a film. Both have won literary awards and are published in Portugal by Editorial Presença.
Jim Button and Lucas the Engine DriverThe book, whose rights are sold in about 30 languages, is also being adapted for the big screen.
