Mayra Montero

Mayra Montero nasceu em Havana, Cuba, em 1952, mas vive em Puerto Rico desde meados da década de 1960. É uma jornalista conceituada e escreve uma coluna diária no jornal El Nuevo Dia. É autora de diversos romances e livros de contos aclamados pela crítica, publicados na Europa e nos EUA. De entre a sua obra destaca-se Púrpura Profundo (Bico de Pena, 2007), galardoado com o XXI Prémio La Sonrisa Vertical.
